Marion Hera-Gore

Waves

As a 4 year old I fell in love with paint and colour.  Every painting has a different effect on my psyche, they demand to be done, some come easily, some nag me relentlessly, some get binned and some of my works have 6 paintings under them that I have decided are never going to conclude.  I find taking photos with my phone and observing progress helps, I can look at work and let it settle inside, whilst I am working they all occupy my attention.

My conclusion about life and art is to make it beautiful.  At times we have to say, what is there to celebrate.  Waves are eternal, and the Whenua, albeit abused and ill treated, shows us beauty when we get a moment to look.
