Fused Glass and Stainless Steel

Artist Statement

I currently live in the Hunua Ranges south-east of Auckland City.

I have had over 30 years of experience painting in watercolours and acrylics. The subject matter has been predominantly landscape and especially water scenes where my artistic passion is the interpretation of the vibrant colours seen in New Zealand coastal margins.

My creation of glass artworks has been a recent development. Using fused glass as a medium gives me the opportunity to combine its transparency properties and sculptural form with the imagery that has evolved in my years of painting.

I believe the result is a unique combination of image artistry and glass craftmanship.
