Individual works available for $250 each

For the last few weeks, I have been based at “The Church” in Rawene on the Hokianga Harbour.

The purpose of the stay has been to create a series of 36 smallish landscapes of the Upper Hokianga as viewed from Rawene. While working from the Church I have had a continuous exhibition of the landscapes releasing them in 3 fortnightly batches of 12 while looking, thinking and working on other works of a more autobiographical nature displayed with the landscapes. The last batch of 12 landscapes has just been hung.

I am pleased to say the first 2 installments of the landscapes have all sold which has been very encouraging because it has been my intention to focus more heavily on landscape painting in the immediate future.

The series of landscapes have letters on them and this format will be used in future landscape work

PNB an acronym for Paint by Numbers which is the generic title I will be putting on landscape work from now on.

LSW an acronym for Land, Sky Water the topic for this PNB.

UHFR an acronym for Upper Hokianga from Rawene which is the particular focus of this LSW/PNB. The UHFR acronym is followed by an individual number which identifies the work.

The works are executed on 12x16 inch canvases utilizing marker pens, oil paints, gesso and fixative. The first12 works were harder edged and markered, the second 12 more traditional oil techniques, and the third 12 have more emphasis on gesso areas as a feature. Fixative spray has been used to seal the works.
