Bruce Anderson has been inspired by his experience of living with an old Fijian Fire Walker as well as Nepalese and Tibetan tradition.
In Nepalese culture the Mandala is designed and created with the objective of raising consciousness thereby making life more effective.
Bruce (Nui) Anderson moved to Hokianga from Wellington in 1971. He worked in various jobs- Hokianga Country Council Labourer, Shop Assistant, Fisherman, Wool Presser, Photo Journalist, Archaeology Field Worker, Volunteer Ambulance Driver and Part Time dole bludger.
Although 71 years young, Bruce stubbornly insists he intends to become and adventurer 'when I grow up' and is currently planning his next (7th) ill advised and ill equipped expedition to the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.
All artwork in the ' Peace Mandala' exhibition can be purchased and delivered to any address in New Zealand or overseas. For more information please contact Lynn Lawton at [email protected]
