The Hidden Path

I consider all (art) works to be a form of self-portrait, revealing something of the essence of each creator, and in that light, these works are snapshots, moments in time from the “path unknown”.
They reflect most especially my endeavouring to navigate a personal “dark night of the senses”. The doubts, bewilderment and questioning; the peevish complaining, as well as the desire for shelter from and understanding of the afflictions arising from being (seemingly) abandoned by Divine Love.
Hope is also present in the scriptural promises clung to in faith and in the gradual realisation that this purgative night is a season necessary for growth – merely transitional (for most) and raising the questions how to advance.
